When I was younger, when I was afraid
Of making my mind up with my head
Of reaching for something that I couldn't get
You made me believe in who I am again
Helped me to leave my past back then
You gave me the words that had been left unsaid
So many words to say, how can I ever pay?
For you to be my freedom, nothing that I can bring
You give me everything, you give to me this freedom
I walked like the rest, did everything they did
But I never felt like I fitted
The puzzle I fit is somewhere else instead
