The Gift And The Curse Lyrics

Keeping Secrets The Gift And The Curse

Grab this pen and begin
To scribe a scroll and diagram of secrets
Of a man's insides
And we'll sing of loss
And the promises he couldn't keep

We're learning
What has become of the world we once knew?
That no matter what we do it seems
Like we will always lose
A place for the lost and broken

She cries again and again
For the one that she loved
Her heart breaks like waves on the ocean's front
His ghost haunts her life
She hears his voice but she cannot touch

But still the pressure he cannot escape

All he needs is a sign he knows it’s not right
With a gift and a curse, at least pain means you’re
alive
The fire inside burns bright in his eyes, he knows he
doesn’t belong
So take his hand, he’s struggling, and guide him home

As the story unfolds
It seems that the pen ran dry
Too terrified to know the truth
And now they question god
It seems the answers even he doesn't know

Now he feels that the sounds within his heart could
change the world
But is it worth it, is it even worth it

Her breath is short her heart is weak
God take this pain away from me
