He was growing up to be
How many souls did you think there would be
And out of those souls could you forsee
Which ones would take the life you gave
To set themselves free
And would that include the one residing in me
Grasping gazing to an endless shore
Of heartbreaks and good deeds
While still writing on the floor
Beneath him while he cries
Father I can do no more
But if they still need me
I'll continue evermore
How many holes did you think there would be
And out of each pore
Did you know you would bleed
Each scar to feel each thought to hear
And did you even know that you'd succeed
I sent Him to you
Please don't mock him that way
Because you know what he will do for you
On that day
He'll plead and he'll fight
While you sigh and you cry
Cause you know that there was more to do
To cherish my light
How many holes did you think there would be
And out of those holes
How many of them did I leave
For you to fix all by yourself
