The Ride:
It seems like we have
such a long way to go
not moving to fast
but never moving to slow
trying to get over
what you told yourself to get by,
Dog tired and losing sleep
you can't think about
all of the thoughts
that you lost in between
polarities shift
when you're adrift in uncertainty
all that you see
is a dream you believe to be
outside of your head
but your head is the malady
try as you might
it doesn't help much to fight
and all of your instincts
are twisting inside
you decide it's all right
to go for the ride.
Daydreams and other things
you forgot about
turning around and you found
you know better know
without this exposure and the time
that it takes to hide
Missing all the mystery
perfecting the lie
dots you disconnected
while your trying to get by
foot to the floor
and you let out a sigh
and you find you have time
to go for the ride.
