This feels like one of those things

Kill a couple of hours walking up and down first avenue
Had a conversation with a meth-addicted prostitute
Heard her say that she admired the way he turned his back on this God of man's
He shook his head and his silence said, "Hold on to what you can"
They passed by a man who played guitar to pay the rent
He'd been there for a couple of hours but he hadn't made a cent
This feels like one of those things
