Jan Metternich Lately
My life isn't the same lately as it used to be
It keeps my soul at the bottom because I got non to feel
I'm higher than ever can't keep my feelings together
Same thing on and on just wish I was better
Wait, wait until I'm done
Wait, I'm not even close
Took two L's but still won
Turned the pain into gold
I got nothing lose
Had to bet on my soul
They was prayin' I'd fold
Now they watchin' me glow
They were sleepin' on me
Now they act like they knew right away
Funny how they switch up
When they see the way I elevate
I was down bad, had to make a way
Now I stack it up, got no time to play
Told 'em I'ma win, they had nothin' to say
Told 'em I'ma win from the other side of the wave
Trust me ima make it
Trust me ima make it
Trust me imma make it in my own way
I don't care what all these other clowns say
I been grindin', had to do this lonely
They be talking, I don't care
They be talkin', but they never knew me
Ain't no handouts, I don't need no cosign
Took some losses, but I turned 'em into shine
Now they watchin', tryna copy how I move right
But I'm different, stay lowkey and keep my moves quiet
Kept it real from the jump
Ain't no switchin' my lane
Told 'em I'd be the one
Now they screamin' my name
My life isn't the same lately as it used to be
It keeps my soul at the bottom because I got non to feel
I'm higher than ever can't keep my feelings together
Same thing on and on just wish I was better
