On a walk with a bite in the air
The smell of the leaves and the grass in our hair
And the trees in the forest are orange and barren
And on we go
Counting through twenty-four hours a day
The sun is a million miles away
And the moon shows its unflinching faces of gray

We won't Let our sense of wonder
Get dried up and plundered
And the mystery that fed our souls
Be buried in the numerals
It's really not work, It's like climbing a hill
And the priming of nature to bend at your will
Thought it was great till they sent you the bill
And on we go
Back in the day we would smile and stare
At the oceans and earth and the fire and the air
Now the screens and the speakers are everywhere
And on we go
There was dream from long ago
Where we would feed all the animals
And be sure to eat all our vegetables
Before they become collectibles
To behold it is beautiful
And to embrace it is wonderful
Watch as we replace them with tangibles
