Black & White Lyrics

Hyperaptive Black & White

[Intro]
*News reporters reporting racism attacks*

[Verse 1]
Now through the century, we may have become less rudimentary
In our codes of conduct, but some are still rude in plenti-
-ful amounts, some even still even thinking like a Tudor mentally
To the point where people are changed from who they're meant to be
It seems like looks are what we're dwelling in
As if someone's life can be determined by their melanin
Ethnicity and skin tone are irrelevant
When trying to put a thought behind someone's intelligence
In some regards, society is developing
Races are more mixed with others than they've ever been
White, black, Chinese, Asian, Latin, American
But still they're some with the intellect of a terrapin
Who think that someone's skin colour indicates they're a felon and
Need to be locked up, cause they're addicted to heroin
Or if they so much as seem Arabic, they're a Bin-
-Laden junior, who needs a grave to peril in
You're walking with minds narrow as corridors
Just keep in thought whether you're bad minded foreigners
Or just a rich person, down sizing commoners
You're thinking with same mind set as Hitler's followers
Judging people by their appearance or status
Trying to predict their lives by what you see in their faces
It's like stripping a work of art to its basics
And trying to understand where its original grace is

[Hook]
'cos with so much in sight, it amazes me the type
Of a person to see life in black and white
Seems like we stereotype, based on if your dark or light
But the truth is that this life ain't black and white!

[Verse 2]
I mean, why bother to use your brain?
It's like trying to ride a bike when you could just use the train
No worries, you can just skip right through the main
Work of figuring out who's different and who's the same
Just put everyone in the same book who looks similar
Then fill that book with what you see in the cinema
TV and radio, no need to envisage a
World past that, keep viewing life through a cylinder
Haha, now those maybe words of sarcasm
The type you might read back and even laugh at 'em
But that ain't to say that this mind set in this past hasn't
Caused atrocities, murders, shit that you can't fathom
In your worst, nightmares or your dreams
Whole ethnic groups think they're the supreme
Race, amongst all other while preparing regimes
The Klu Klux Klan seeing that their area's cleaned
Of all blacks, Nazis committing genocide
Sickening race attacks, where men have died
To due a prejudice that's gained from what's been televised
'cos we're lead to believe their whole country terrorize
The smallest thought can form lethal
Consequences, hundreds of scorned people
We need to make this racial storm peaceful
And understand each one of us is born equal

[Hook]
'cos with so much in sight, it amazes me the type
Of a person to see life in black and white
Seems like we stereotype, based on if your dark or light
But the truth is that this life ain't black and white!
