Don't They Know It's Christmas Lyrics

Verse 1
So caught up in your 9 to 5
No hellos or even goodbyes
Pass somebody on the street
And don't even lend a hand
No time for reading bed time stories
No prayers to give God the glory
Money can't buy you memories
Or your way into the promised land

Chorus
It's Christmas eve
No carolling
No spreading glee
Don't they know it's Christmas
No Christmas tree
Forgot what it means
To truly believe
Don't they know it's Christmas

Verse2
Stressing bout the daily news
Take a second, change your point of view
Someone would love to be in your shoes
With half of what you have
Seems like all you do is worry
Maybe cause you don't feel worthy
Don't trust in God and his mercy
To save you from the past

Bridge:
So say hello
Lend a hand
Read a story
Trust in His plan
Come home early
Stay a while
Say I love you
And watch them smile

Chorus:
It's Christmas eve
No carolling
No spreading glee
Don't they know it's Christmas
No Christmas tree
Forgot what it means
To truly believe
Don't they know it's Christmas
