this was a home as good as it couldve known the snow would fall all day long the birds and the trees they sang their songs the deer out back who were never alone this was the place we once called a home this was the place we once called our home this was the road tunneled by trees that led us home up and down hills cut out of stone lit up on both sides with eyes that glowed it was alright cuz i took it slow on the way to the place we once called our home these are some lines i was meaning to write but i ran out of time late last year when u worked by my side so say them now cuz i can make them mine youre all that i needed to make it by the place where we once lived our lies the place where we once lived our lies the place where we once lived our lies
