Gerbils Penny Waits
I promised to pick her up on time,
but I'd rather make her wait.
Endless, endless, endless waiting.
Penny waits by the curb
as the sun goes down.
She finds it quite absurd.
All the people looking all around.
The same old man flies by her address.
She can't understand how she found this mess.
Her wristwatch never stops.
The sun is almost up.
Penny feels the raindrops
while her life is so fed up.
