The Serpents Eye Lyrics

Eria D'or The Serpents Eye

And as I opened my eyes, I saw the serpent seducing my
love, and she left.
Leaving me with tears of sulpher and callous flesh.
I ought to forget and seek another prey, but I didn't,
I rebelized against my fellow beasts and went to the
lair of the serpent.
And with a raised voice a claimed back my heart and
love.
The serpent then looked me in the eyes and then I knew
my punishment for treachery.
I shall travel the depths of rivers!
As the hunter.

And I saw thought the serpents eye.

My fingers running over waves of sadness, my flesh torn
away by black streams.
My bones taken by the inexorable fish.
I felt my soul drowning in oblivion and my heart toiled
for her last beat.
For the last time I looked in her eyes.

I cried black depths, awakening the monster that shall
devour my soul.
Why couldn't I just be strong! Why do my tears burn
away faith!
Is this the time for my requiem? Could it be my end?
Has it killed me yet?

Yes, it has! You were not worthy. A weak soul that
weeped for love.
Seeking true love as lust was offered.
You should have bargained, used it and forget about it.
No! You fool! You denied what's in every soul!

Killed by love

Yet I died! Dwelling in oblivion.
Yes I cried for my beloved to love me.
Too late! She can never reach me again.
I am so dead!

I wished I had never seen trough the serpents eye.
