I had a dream about a bridge
It was tall, dark, mysterious
It made the waves below seem inviting
Not to jump in but to look at
And admire as I cross that bridge
There's so much history between
The country and the city
So much past before today
Thoughts march like soldiers
Across the surface
Scattered, losing focus
Keeping the bridge sane
