I have no need for closure, but the more I lost the more I looked for. The things you threw away or left unspoken. I just want to know how you are and if things are better for you like they are for me
Outstretched arms withholding, a mothers embrace. Things lost and found and found and found and found and found. A fraternal absence, a childhood that cannot be placed on hold
Replacement and future deterrent. A lack of involvement. We spent nights in emptier homes never meant for anyone, not for you not for me
We forget what made us the same and when I look at you, I don't know who you are. Your bones show, and your smile is weak. There are things i miss and will miss and forget and yet I keep telling myself; "It's not me who is holding onto it, no it's not, no it's not, it's everyone else."
