The World Is Red Lyrics

Dies The World Is Red

Looking down on the planet the hands cupped around it
are tired
The horror turns the oceans red and sets the sky on
fire
The ants pour out of the iron cages and sever their
heads with a clip
Scrambling down a world of cement all grey and drowned
in the spit

Chorus
The world is red and we see in technicolor
The screaming comes through in five point one
So we open up and open up each other
Until the hands seal it up and we come undone

I'm carrying a cross with a rope and jumper cables
I've given it seats and wheels
I lie and say it's up on my back
And I'm washing the dirt with the blood from my heels
But the cross isn't gold or lit up with fluorescents
Just cut from a tree, and ugly in essence
Cuts tot he bone, and impales my heart
Up in space the lights are laughing
Led by the morning star
Hurls himself down into the blue
And turns us all red wherever we are

Chorus

The world is red
And we see in monochrome
The crying becomes a sublevel frequency
Just a hum, and endless drone
Makes no movement inside of me

The northern lights show us violence in space
The way out is not up; touch the ground with your face

Chorus
