When I was, a little girl,
I lived in my own little world
I was the baby of five
My two sisters were too busy,
my brother’s always teasing me
They barely knew I was alive
I didn’t mind, because Jesus was there
He was sitting in my little rocking chair
Having tea parties and playing with my toys; He was
Filling my heart with His wondrous love and joy
As the years went by,
hearing the story always made me cry;
My friend Jesus died for me
oh and I will, never forget, that winter day,
I went to the altar and prayed,
“Jesus Live in my heart eternally”
I knew it was time, because Jesus was there
Holding my hand His love and grace filled the air
I thought that I could, fly high like a dove, as He
Filled my heart with His wondrous, joy and love
Looking back as a rebellious teen,
He has more patience than I ever seen
Through all the tears I cried
All the hardship and tragedy,
All those years of adversity
And when both my parents died
I know for sure, that Jesus is here
And I still have that little rocking chair
The child that first loved Him, is alive in my heart,
You see, Me and Jesus we will never, ever part
I thank Him for dying and living
and His mercy forgiving
I thank Him for loving me , woah................
