So this is the new year, and I won't change as I watch
the world transform around me. The ice is melting and
the streets are streams. No more afternoons illuminated
by high-beams.
You can see the change in people, in their dispositions.
Hope may still be fleeting, but it's hopelessness's attrition.
You can see the change in - And suddenly, there's motion
in this world. Suddenly the sun hits my skin. Suddenly I'm
lighter. Suddenly I'm fast. Suddenly a voice screams,
'I'm alive'.
Spring forward, never fall back down. Bounce back, not
staying on the ground. Spring forward, I'm going to stay
on top. So ready.
