Educate and inform so no one can say
“I didn’t realize”
We cannot afford ignorance, feigned
Or otherwise, can’t afford to close our eyes
So many people who would stand for change
So many imperative situations in our day to day
I cannot allow myself to go halfway
And in my eyes it just makes perfect sense
“Non-violence or non-existence”
That’s the real choice
That’s our only choice
Can’t unsee what my eyes have seen
Can’t forget where my intent has been
Will be aware
We’ll be aware
