Consumption Lyrics

Czolgosz Consumption

Trapped inside your possessions, your modern holy rite.
We must have consumption, to prove our cultures might.
Accumulate commodities, do you feel the immortality?
A world of sweatshops, toil, pain, and pride of your companies.
Freedom smashed in the name of greed. Pride of your commodities.
Addictive wealth, consumer culture. A plague upon both of your houses,
with consumption.
Technologies, a sign of progress but your system is still so barbaric.
Nazi, commie, the inquisition, you discredit with an ironic grin.
You boast about how far we've come, learned our lessons in history.
Yet the ruling class luxuries have improved
As have your methods of rule over us.
While the rest of us our living in a life of shit.
Day by day we struggle for our daily bread.
And you jam down our throats the lifestyles of the rich.
And say the masses are lethargic, that's why they don't get ahead.
Never enough resources, the world is here to buy and sell.
Human life is expendable in the name of elite wealth.
Pass it off as a moral trait, in progress some gotta get ahead.
A world of sweatshops, toil, pain, and pride of your companies!
Freedom smashed in the name of greed. Pride of your commodities.
Addictive wealth, consumer culture, A plague upon both of your houses
With consumption.
