I think about the days gone by
And then I sit and wonder why
You died to sanctify my life
When I was darkness, You were light

The world has let me down again
I am in need of a new friend

Holy Spirit take control
Some of my friends around me say,
“There is no God, there is no way!”
But Jesus, yeah I know You’re true

The world rejects Your perfect love
With clenched up fists they shout above
Synthetic lies, never the truth
Distorted theories never proved
They need to look upon Your word
No need for drugs, You are the cure
You cured me from this sickness Death
I make You Lord above the rest
