That the jackdaw is bad an' he steals
He's a symbol of darkness, a crow, the devil's own

An' it's a pretty safe bet that you don't like 'em

If you were a sparrow or a robin you'd despise jackdaws

There might be a few rogue jackdaws
But they get their comeuppance, most care
If one in the flock gets left behind or set upon
Others return to help and secure its safety and well-being
