I remember what you told me, it wasn't too long ago
You told me that you knew the answer, But now I wonder if you really know
I see what appears to be a conflict, what you say and what you do
And I really have to admit it, I don't know how to analyze you
It seems that you never really try to do the best that you can

And I watched to see how well you'd do
But it seems to me now it was just another trip

And the whole thing strikes me as peculiar

It's really too bad, I hoped that you were right
