There are times when I remember
Being lost and so afraid
You were always there to guide me
Through the jungle I had made
I saw temptation and I needed to be strong
But you led me by example
Through a world of right and wrong
And you know, this aint easy
Saying what I say,
I may be right I may be wrong,
Going my own way
Help me to help myself to find my own direction
To make the same mistakes however big or small
Help me to help myself dont make it easy for me
As long as youre around to catch me if I fall
Many times I was in trouble with my back against the
wall
But you taught me how to be myself
Together through it all
And I know you believed in me
I needed you too
I owe you more than I can say
