You tune me in, then you turn me out
Between a scream and a shout
Is it any wonder that I can speak at all

The fates divine and prophesy our every motion
They breathe our love into the dawn
They send the sunlight slipping through our fingers
You turn and stretch, I yawn
And I wake up from my deepest sleep
Forget about the dream that made we weep
When I look in your eyes everything else seems small

Sometimes I wonder if you understand these deep emotions
That lie beneath my thinnest skin
I wonder if you see the colors that surround us
Bluest of blues turn golden
You fill me up when you lay me down
My tongue gets tangled up in the sound when I'm
Speaking of your body lying next to mine
