I Wished On The Moon Lyrics

I wished on the moon
For something I never knew
Wished on the moon
For more than I ever knew

A sweeter rose
A softer sky
An April day
That would not dance away

I wished on the moon
For more than I ever knew
Wished on the moon
For something I never knew

A softer sky
A sweeter rose
An April day
That would not fade away

I begged of a star
To throw me a beam or two
Wished on a star
To send me a dream or two

I searched for ev'ry loveliness
It all came true
I wished on the moon
For you
I wished on the moon
For something I never knew
Wished on the moon
For more than I ever knew

A sweeter rose
A softer sky
An April day
That would not dance away

I begged of a star
To throw me a beam or two
Wished on a star
To send me a dream or two

Oh, I searched for ev'ry loveliness
And it all came true
I wished on the moon
I wished on the moon
For you
