Brother Ape This Hour
As I walked
Free as cloud
That floats on highwithin the sky
Just sailing by
And all at once
I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils
Beside the lake
To see a world in grains of sand
And heaven in a flower
A twinkle in the Milky Way
Right now
One after one
They look up to the sun
Tossing their heads
In a fluttering dance
For my eyes in glance
This hour
Time after time
They would reach for the sun
When she finally comes
To say "Hey everyone!"
Let me lie here a while
This hour
They flash upon
That inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude
That fills my heart
And what a wealth
Such a company
I gazed, I gazed but little thought
What it had brought
