The Story Behind The Song
This is one of my first worship songs that was recorded
and published. It came out of a period of challenge and
difficulty in my early ministry when I felt like
everything around me was changing. Of all my early
worship songs, this one seems to have been requested
the most, probably because it seems to connect with
people who are going through a tough time, and that is
not uncommon for most of us who live on planet earth.
It was a real privilege to sing this song with Kathryn
Scott, who is one of my favorite singer/songwriters and
a dear friend! The arrangement was our way of singing
this old song in a fresh way without changing it. It's
kind of funny to think that a song written 12 years ago
is now an 'old' song.
