Breeze Spiritual War (poem)
The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
When trials and tribulations come,
Why does my Spiritual Fuel begin to leak?
And instead of lifting my head up to the heavenly skies,
My ignorant pride tells me otherwise.
I foolishly choose the mirror for guidance and correction,
Blurry vision; though it’s clear that I lack humility and Godly direction.
Ultimately, I lost focus.
And instead of playing the background,
I took the leading role.
No longer lead by the Spirit,
The nature of sin is taking control.
Where did I go wrong?
Indeed, I fought hard, but I was fighting the battle on my own.
Lord, humble me with your discipline,
Before this sin becomes full grown.
Without you I am nothing, how could I forget?
Father forgive me, my Spirit is willing; I surrender,
I Repent.
I surrender my all to You, my LORD, my Creator.
Your Will is far more important, there is Nobody Greater.
I will never comprehend, but I'm in awe of Your Glory.
Filled with Your Spirit, Now my heart is no longer empty.
Keep me under Your wing, shelter me from the enemy.
Without You LORD, I am lifeless; I need Your Word to revive me.
True Faith:
My positive response to what You have already provided.
You are the author of my life,
So I must surrender the pen and let You write it.
You have taken me through the Rough Draft,
Revised my mistakes, and Highlighted.
You kept me within the Margins,
While I Transitioned through Life’s Sentences.
As I turn the page, the Next Chapter appears to be empty,
And my faith will surely be tested,
As I await my Unseen Destiny.
Holding on to the Words,
That are written with the Your Pen.
The conclusion will be FLAWLESS,
Though I stumble and fall, you've washed away ALL of my Sin.
My LORD, my Creator.
Keep me Faithful til THE END.
