Breathless Glow
So far off in so many ways
so easy to forget what it was.
So much ventured and little gained
but a pocket full of common sense
you now can call your own.
It's no bed of roses
but you never thought that it was
but you can't laugh off your delirious suspicions
now they're rudely thrown off course.
Fool you are.
Pull it all apart tear the whole thing down
if it's a question of lies
if a question at all
I'd love to see your face

but you'd know better.
Well this all seems as if you'd know
there are more ways out now
Promises and so much strength
but not much measures up painlessly,
