a spider on a ledge whispered in my ear

i'm a mother of sorts i have children of my own
they've all moved on oh my how they've grown
a boy and a peach made some new friends
some he lost some he kept till the end
though he saw the wonders of mankind
still a young boy as he grows he wonders what he'll find
at the end of the day his mind is filled with stories
some dangerous and exciting anything but boring
his mother asks where have you been all night?
he says mommy i've been out having the time of my life
