When I was a little girl, Daddy and I would
fool around
And he'd carry me piggy back all through the house
When adolescents came, he saw me through the pain
Yes,Daddy was always there for me
But then one day they said he wouldn't live
All that cigarette smoking had caught up to him
So I sat beside his bed and I held his hand
And softly I said goodbye, to my best friend
Then Daddy was gone and I was all alone
And I didn't know what to do or where to go
So I got down on my knees and Jesus gave me that
perfect peace
Yes when I feel all alone I have Jesus
Even now some times I still cry and cry all day
It seems like the pain just won't go away
And sometimes at night I can't fall asleep
I just want my Daddy to be here with me
But Daddy is gone and when I feel all alone
And I don't now what to do or where to go
I just get down on my knees and Jesus gves me that
perfect peace

I have Jesus He keeps me strong
He is my anchor in the storm
And just when I feel like I can't go on
