The world is familiar with fanatics and idealists too
In the past we have also seen them so in fact it ain't a new phenomenon
But I often question the integrity of the ones fighting for goals
Is it love for the things they fight for
or is it love for themselves being in control

Sometimes I get the feeling self-centred thoughts are just involved
I'm watching the charity poses, they want to be known noble and good
Integrity is turning away, the wrong are at the foreground
Now what do you represent, yourself or a dream of better days

Selfishness is often rejected, but we're all forced to act this way sometimes
Especially in danger own interests come first, it ain't a crime
This ain't concerning you because your position may not allow to act this way
These are no basic needs,
Your own gain is on the agenda, therefore you seize the day
