Auburn Cutting Corners To Avoid The Unavoidable
I took the quick way out. Stranded, it was the best idea at the time. I see
I missed a step or two and I’m on my way were supposed to be the one
that would comfort me. Instead you’ve abandoned me. You were supposed
to be the one that would comfort me and now you’re dead to me. Now its
becoming hard to see, were you ever there at all? Now its becoming hard to
see, were you there to watch me fall? A quick look was all I needed to
navigate through the dark but now I’m stuck, I’m left behind.
What a mess this turned out to be. It used to be that you were the
beginning and end to me now I’m beginning to see where the end will
be. Now its becoming clear to me you were never there at all. Now its
becoming clear to me you weren’t there to watch me fall. You
weren’t supposed to be the one to abandon me. I walk alone in the
dark. I’m convinced the only hell that exists is in ourselves.
