You proved your sincerity was genuine
this heart of mine can’t keep up
I should have known not to try
wasted phone calls are falling on deaf ears
I should have known to let this die
the same person that I used to want to be so close to
begs contempt and with terse breath I convey how I want to
remain the person that I used to be before I met you
I wish I could undo meeting you
bottle up your cares and throw them all away
tried to write it down but the words flew away
I tried and tried, but now that I know who you are I’m gone
everyone can see
