there is a place, unlike any other
with rooms to keep and a garden in the back
in the trees, birds behave like humans
and every nest, it needs some company
every bird must defend his family
every bird, ’cause only relatives are friends
first thing you learn: never trust a neighbour
never trust the bird that shines so cold
oh birds of prey, try and love thy neighbour
yes, even if your tree is not as big as mine
the leaves are green, but my leaves are greener
that’s ok, I mean that’s just fine..
