Our privilege has gone unchecked. a hubris of affectation. so play the part, fill the role. unquestioning, we stagnate. rebuilding the walls that we tore down. a mantra of emptiness, alienation & selfishness. so dumb-down, hollow out. so dumbed down & stripped of heart. smokescreens. our privilege: apathy. complicit and sedated. isn't this more than just noise? tantrums and histrionics, ego & shock. but: is this entertainment or a community? an escape or an excuse? reason or reaction, inciting or just in step? this is entirely what we make of it, what we build & destroy. there is no shock left in a posture of faux-unpredictability. it's tame, sedate. boring
