Alicia Keys Old Memories On Christmas
[Verse 1]
Old memories, they don't go away
They show up on Christmas Eve and leave you wishing for childhood days
The lights on the tree, gifts on display, yeah, it only gets stronger with age
Old memories, they don't go away
Old holiday songs, they bring all the tears
Decorate the empty rooms and take you back to the joyful years
Friends that you made, carols you sang, make a symphony just for your ears
Old holiday songs, they bring all the tears
[Chorus]
It's like magic, I'm telling ya
Makes you sentimental
It brings out all the best in ya
You ain't gon' ever lеt go
[Verse 2]
Old photographs never fade away
Thеy're just frozen there in time, locked in pretty picture frames
The hands that we held, the love that we gave, it's all black and white, that you can't change
Old photographs never fade away
[Chorus]
It's like magic, I'm telling ya
Makes you sentimental
It brings out all the best in ya
You ain't gon' ever let go
[Outro]
Look at me lost in yesterday
Ever since you've been gone, feels like Christmas don't feel the same
Snow doesn't fall, my heart's out of place and it only gets stronger with age
Old memories of you and me, they don't go away
