Jim took one look and shook his head
He said my truck was close to dead
It’s just gone
About to croak

The one I thought would marry me
Asked my girl to be my world
On bended knee
She took one look and shook her head
She tossed the ring, said we were dead

Become her joke

Came across the city pound
Saw a dog with limpy legs
A busted nose

This beagle soon became my pup
