A Fond Farewell Shed My Skin
Someone told me to go looking at the bottom of a dream.
Well, there are no answers there, just a lot of water.
Nobody sleeps there anymore,
And I can’t find what I’m looking for in all the sand.
And I think it’s time to shed my skin.
I never fit me anyway.
Maybe I’ll go somewhere far away from here,

Well I told myself things might be better in California,
So I raised my sail and flew there for awhile,
But we’re not pioneers anymore,
And there’s nothing’s different but the names.
