The initiate's journey found me
Light years from here
Blinded by beauty, taken in by the glare
Walking amongst the stones
And led by the spirit
An angel's voice, bargained my life just to hear it
And the song of lazarus lives on the wind
We hear it blowing by
Then back again
Tales of Lazarus carry us away
Across the centuries
Until today
Her songs and tales had me, mesmerized
Enchanted in a trance, i realized
I had to know from where her wisdom came
She said "the words of lazarus
Will never change"
And on that day i learned the treasured secret
The choice was mine to reject or keep it

I left her home that day, a wiser soul
