i don't wanna spend my time
thinking of a life that could be mine
get in the car and set me free
and do something that's good for me
i got my foot down
thoughts round
a good tune kicking out a good sound
and it makes me wonder what it's gonna be
when this place is a memory

got my ton of thoughts and i'll use them today
with my strengths and troubles i can keep them at bay

the road here is my leading ground
to where a better place be found
on my way to somewhere good
it makes me feel just like i should
i mean, lie down, right hand (?)
troubles get up just where over town (?)
and i aint gonna be that fool
controlled by other people's rules

why should i waste my time?

what people don't realise about me is

sitting round talking with my friends are making fuss together they must learn i'm not about to turn to listening (?)

cruise to my blues
have gone afar
live my life like i was a star
leave my small time troubles in a small time bar
those who impose on you how to feel
don't really matter cos they just aint real
we're not far away, and i've cut my deal
