I had a beautiful dream the other day
I was in a house overlooking a tropical bay
Sunlight streamed in through the walls of glass
White sandy beaches green palm trees and grass
Ocean such a bright, clear shade of blue
I was smiling as my eyes absorbed the view

I hope this dream comes true
That's where I want to live one day with you

With my very own sailboat anchored right offshore
The world out there won't hurt us anymore
We'll only eat the finest delicacies
Luxurious vacations overseas
We'll throw elaborate parties, just a few

I found myself in Puerto Rico standing on the beach
Surprised to find the island had been locked in slavery

I saw the islanders in anguish and I thought I heard them say

I felt compassion for their plight and promptly joined their fight
To overthrow the empire and take back all their rights
